Lost a Car but Gained a House

After waking up to discover that my car (and Bob stroller in the trunk) had been stolen over night, we put an offer on a house this afternoon and it was accepted!  What a crazy day.  The house is on Cherrydale Road in a neighborhood in San Jose called Willow Glen.  The house is livable but definitely needs some updating.  It has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a nice size kitchen, dining room, and living room.  We are excited about the potential and feel like this is a good home to grow our family in.  The neighborhood is definitely a step up from our current neighborhood.  Which was the primary factor driving us to sell, evidenced by the stolen car last night.  :)

We filed a police report for the car and insurance is covering a rental car.  If my car is not recovered in 30 or is recovered and is un-driveable insurance will give me fair market value for the car.  Which we think is about 10k.  Maybe we'll upgrade to a mini van!
