Since Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday and next day was a holiday (President's Day) Bill and I decided that there was no better place to spend the weekend than the Kirkwood cabin. As we had hoped it was a perfect weekend. The weeks of rain in January resulted in mounds of snow in the Sierras and the sun was shining the whole weekend! Since pictures speak louder than words I'll keep the words short and we'll jump into the pictures. I've saved the best (a video) for last so if you don't look at any of the pictures you have to at least watch the video at the end. :)
This was Murphy's first full snow experience.
Seeing him run around made me realize how much Sophie is slowing down.
Valentine's Day we snow shoe'd along the ridge in search of a water fall.
We did not make it to the water fall but we found a nice place to stop for lunch. Bill made this great snow bench for us to sit on.
Valentine's evening was spent sipping wine, eating chocolate ,
and playing our favorite game, Agricula.
And the best for last. Here we see Sophie following in Bill's footsteps.
