That was a Fun Day!

Well our first day of vacation (and my dad's 75th birthday) did not start off the way I had expected.  For a couple of days Bill had been dealing with an irritated spot on his left leg.  After flying across the country to Orlando, Florida the spot got a lot worse.  Thanks to a Google image search we decided it was probably a spider bit and off to the ER we went. 

The doctor said he had about 11cm of cellulitis in his leg as a result of some type of bit.  The doctor did not say for sure what type of spider it was but she did say it wasn't a brown recluse.  Apparently brown recluses cause necrosis pretty quickly if not treated!  We've seen black widows around the house so that was probably the culprit.  Bill thinks he got bit when he was hanging Christmas lights 10 or 12 days ago. 

It turns out the ERs around Disney are crowded when Disney is crowded and Christmas is the one of the busiest times for Disney!  So we ended up spending all day (10am - 5pm) there.  Bill got loaded up with IV and prescription antibiotics and we were home in time for my dad's birthday dinner.
