Over Thanksgiving he made great strides in going up and down stairs. We spent part of the holiday weekend at Bill's family friend's house and they have wide, carpeted stairs - great for a learning baby!
This month he has also gotten very good at cruising. He motors around the coffee table, along the couch, and anything else he can pull himself up on. A few times we've seen him let go and stand on his own for a few seconds as well as take a step. We continue to think he'll be walking before his first birthday.
Napping at daycare has gotten better but now napping at home has become non existant. Unless of course he is in my lap or we are driving in the car. There is something precious about having your baby sleep on your chest and it makes for some good reading time but it means that I get less laundry, cooking, and cleaning done. Which makes me a little crazy at times!
Nathan's two top teeth came through this months and he is now using them to chew on everything from apples, to his crib rails, to my shoulder! And he is working on a few more top teeth. I'm hopeful that more teeth will mean more eating of finger foods. Other than apples and cheddar cheese Nathan still prefers packs of Plum Organics puree foods.
He continues to hate being slowed down. He screams bloody murder every time he is put in his carseat or has to have his diaper changed. He would much prefer to be on the ground moving and exploring.
It was great celebrating Thanksgiving with Nathan as well as preparing for Christmas with him. It makes me so eager for the holidays in the years to come when he'll be older and even more aware of what is going on. He certainly is the best gift of 2012 and we count it an honor to be his mom and dad.
